BIMA announces the appointment of three new members to its Board. Joining the Board are Dr. Nazim Cetin, Coenraad Vrolijk and George Sartorel.

Dr. Nazim Cetin is CEO of Allianz X. Nazim has more than a decade of leadership experience in investing, business development and entrepreneurship. Nazim joined Allianz X most recently from media conglomerate Bertelsmann, where he was Vice President of Corporate Development & New Businesses, as well as Head of Business Development. Prior, he founded the first German magazine focusing on philosophy and economics agora 42; internationalised the commercial finance division of Maple Bank; served as a venture partner for Target Global, and an advisor for many international VC funds and start-ups.
Coenraad Vrolijk is Regional CEO Africa of Allianz. Before that, he has been CEO at Rosewood Insurance Group, a startup with insurers in Nigeria, Rwanda and Pakistan. Coenraad has been a Managing Director at asset management firm BlackRock and a Partner at consulting firm McKinsey & Company. Coenraad is a member of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Board of Governors, and chairs its finance committee.
George Sartorel is Regional CEO of Allianz in Asia Pacific. George joined the Allianz Group in 1998, and has previously held leadership positions at Allianz Australia, Italy, Turkey and Europe. George is also a member of Allianz’s International Executive Committee, a body chaired by Group CEO Oliver Bäte and formed by the Members of the Board of Management of Allianz SE. In addition, he is a global board member of Allianz X. Since July 2015, George has also served as a member of the Financial Centre Advisory Panel, set up by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
