Robi, Bangladesh’s leading digital service provider, and MILVIK celebrated the first ever ‘MyHealth’ claims week throughout the country.

Claims events were held in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Cumilla, Feni and Noakhali to celebrate paying 5,000 hospital cashback claims for MyHealth customers over the last two years. In Chattogram, Robi and MILVIK  organized an event for customers. Robi and MILVIK also visited customers’ homes to hand over claim cheques.

Md Ala Uddin, a 50 years old taxi driver was hospitalized due to sudden onset of enteric fever. On collecting his hospital claims from MyHealth, he said:

“As the only breadwinner of my family, you can imagine the hardship we had to go through as I was bed-ridden for 15 days. Supporting my family while funding my treatment cost was a real struggle for me but the claim amount really helped us through this challenging time. Fortunately, I was a subscriber of the Robi-MILVIK health insurance service, MyHealth. They invited me to join with them at a claim event that took place in my area. I found the claim process to be very easy and hassle-free, as I got my claim money over mobile wallet in a short period of time without any complications”.

Akira Morita, Country Manager, Milvik Bangladesh said:

“In a lot of cases, patients face financial difficulties when they have to stay in hospital for a few nights. MyHealth customers are covered for their hospital stay which relieves some of their financial burden. We are a company that supports our customers when they need it the most by paying claims quickly and efficiently. We hope our claims week events will encourage more customers to sign up for MyHealth for themselves and their family.”

“Our aim is to protect the future of every family. Last year alone we paid almost 4,000 claims across Bangladesh (63 districts, 8 divisions), as well as providing more than 220,000 tele-doctor consultations to our MyHealth customers. This year MILVIK and Robi have also organized health camps across Bangladesh and supported more than 10,000 people in local communities. We’re committed to contributing to society with Robi.”

Robi’s Vice President, Business Operations, Md. Mahbubul Alam Bhuiyan, said:

“Bangladesh has the lowest rate of insurance among the countries in South Asia. People are at risk when illness or accidents occur. Our aim is to help our customers by providing them with a simple and easy way to sign up for MyHealth insurance through their mobile phones. Robi is committed to playing a vital role with our partners in this growing digital health arena and to continue to deliver tangible benefits to our valued customers.”
